Jenna and Daniel share their gorgeously sun-kissed Bucks County engagement pics by Michael’s Photography and Daniel tells us all about their love and awesome surprise engagement.

Jenna Worrell

Hometown: Bucks County, PA (Pipersville)

Occupation: Visit Bucks County – Business Development & Events Manager

Age: 26

Daniel Giuliani

Hometown: Montgomery County (Horsham, PA)

Occupation: A Giuliani & Co. Inc. – Foreman

Age: 26

How did you meet? We met our freshman year at Bloomsburg University. Go Huskies! It was actually Jenna’s first night on campus for Summer Orientation that the two of us met. From there it was history!

How long they have been together? We have been together since Memorial Day Weekend 2012. Almost seven and a half years!

What do you each remember about your first day?
We were on the beaches of Ocean City, NJ when Daniel popped the question to be his girlfriend! It was a beautiful day, not to mention Jenna’s 19th birthday! Our friends and family were there to be a part.

Tell us about the engagement. Was it a surprise? Absolutely! Jenna was swept off her feet. Dan planned a total surprise engagement! It was absolutely breathtaking and from a Hallmark movie.

Where did it take place? The engagement took place at Jenna’s family’s vacation home in the Pocono mountains. The cabin overlooks a beautiful private lake surrounded by hundreds of acres. Dan asked Jenna to go for a walk and once we made our back, he got down on one knee at Jenna’s favorite spot outside in front of the lake. Little did she know her friends and family were there to witness the special moment. As soon as Dan popped the big question, they came out on the balcony overlooking the spot popping champagne. In the meantime, they had flipped the entire cabin with an engagement party celebration. Take notes boys!

Most memorable part: The most memorable part was that our close family and friends were there to witness it and Jenna was totally swept off her feet. She had NO idea it was coming!

Wedding Plans

Do you have a wedding date set? If so, what month and year? Our wedding is set for next July 17, 2020! We can’t wait to have a beautiful, Bucks County summer wedding.

Do you have a venue, color or theme picked out? We are getting married at The Warrington in Bucks County. Our color scheme is a blend of taupe and blush colors with silver accents.

Do you have a dream aspect of your wedding that you want to make come true? Our dream is to tell our love story and who we are as a couple through out every aspect of the day. We will do so with personalized touches from décor, to the ceremony, and all of the wedding formalities. It’s all about the wedding details!

How are you both feeling about planning your wedding? We are having an absolute blast! Visit Bucks County has so many local resources in the wedding industry to get started with excellent venues and vendors.

Their Adorable Details

Do you have a special song that’s “your song”? We don’t have a special song per say (aside from our wedding song that we are keeping a special surprise until 7.17.2020.)  We both are huge fans of country music and consistently find special songs that remind us of one another and our love story.

What’s your favorite place to go on a date night? We love to travel and go places together. We both enjoy spending time at our vacation homes in the Pocono mountains and Jersey Shore, but we also find something so special in spending quality time staying in with ourselves and loved ones.

Food you both like to over indulge in together: Believe it or not, we both like to indulge in American bar/pub food! We love to find hidden dive bar gems to check out and experience. They are great places to make memories and new friends!

Favorite TV show to binge on together: Dan and I have a totally different taste in TV shows, although we can always settle on a good comedy!

Thing you bicker about the most: N/A
Editor’s Note: we love this answer!!!

Thing you love about your partner the most: What we love most is that we bring out the absolute best in one-another. We are like yin and yang. We have the ultimate balance of personalities, interests and skills that make us the ultimate “power couple” as our friends and family like to call us.

If you’re engaged you’re probably stoked to start some Pinterest boards, to-do lists and buy some of the best-sellers on wedding planning. You also might be checking out some of the Philadelphia area’s local bridal expos. Well, if you’re looking to attend a fabulously glamorous one, check out Bouche Production’s shows. Why, you might ask? Well, glad you did, because here’s eight good reasons.

1. Who Doesn’t Love a Food Sample?

Come ready to sample some caterers dishes and some sweet treats. Not only will this give you an excellent chance to try out a vendor’s offerings you might be considering for your wedding day, but it’ll also give you much needed energy to stay for the whole day (you want to make sure you stay for the whole day, trust us!) Mmmmm these strawberries just beg to be eaten don’t they?

2. Um, PLAN YOUR WEDDING, hello!

Flowers, invitations, photography, videography, photo booth, entertainment…the list of wedding elements to plan just goes on and on. But just think of the feelings of accomplishment you’ll have if in one afternoon you knock a few things off that to-do list. Priceless, right? Even if you don’t want to commit to a vendor just yet, there’s also so much inspiration to get IN PERSON (yes, you really need to take a break from the ‘gram) Sights, sounds, smells and tastes, inspo you just can’t get on your phone.

Meeting vendors in person, all in one place, not only is a time-saver, but it also gives you a personal feel for who you connect with and feel chemistry with. Remember, these are people you’re going to be intimately working with, sharing your dreams and dynamics with, you’ll want to have a great rapport and trust with whoever you choose.

3. Boozy Sunday Anyone?

Bouche Productions partners with some of the coolest names in cocktails, so you can be sure to pick up a sample or two while you browse the show.

4. Runway Fashions

Sooo many gorgeous looks on Bouche’s runway with the latest trends showing off some of the coolest features in wedding and bridesmaids gowns and tuxedo formal wear. And we love that they include all size options for us to check out.

5. Advice that’s never boring

Keynote speaker Randi Martin, Co-owner of The Wedding Coaches LLC is not only someone you’ll get good advice from, she’s like the down-to-earth, tell-it-like-it-is girlfriend who just happens to be a wedding planning AUTHORITY. Seriously, she teaches wedding planners to be wedding planners at Temple U. She’ll have you cracking up but also pulling out your phone to take notes. Come prepared to get schooled.

6. Knock Your Socks Off Live Entertainment

At our first Bouche show, we figured they’d be some music samples from like a DJ or something, and then the singers from Best of Both Worlds took to the runway and WOW just WOW, a Capella no accompaniment needed these guys slayed the standards.

7. Snag Special Deals

Part of the fun of a Bouche Bridal Show is the chance to get amazing deals from local wedding vendors from Philly, the suburbs and South Jersey, vendors you might have been considering working with already. These show exhibitors are often happen to offer a special wedding show deal to couples attending a show.

8. Prizes, Prizes, Prizes

There’s so many giveaways, sometimes it’s hard to keep up. Super savvy couples are known to bring address label stickies to plunk down quickly rather than fill out forms, but with an easy door prize system, you don’t need to stress about being that prepared. Just come, have fun, and maybe get lucky.

Now that you’re convinced a Bouche Show is a must-see event, here’s a few dates in the upcoming months when you can check one out around Philly and New Jersey:

  • 12th Annual King of Prussia Bridal Show, Sep 15, 12:00 PM – 04:00 PM. Crowne Plaza, 260 Mall Blvd, King of Prussia, PA 19406. Tickets here.

Erie Insurance wedding registry survey reveals the items couples didn’t register for but wish they had:

Robotic vacuum cleaner, air fryer and lawn equipment top the list; survey also reveals etiquette trends and regifting fails

Couples registering for wedding gifts may want to review the results of a national survey conducted for Erie Insurance before choosing gifts for their registries. The survey asked about items couples didn’t register for but now wish they had, as well as gifts they are still glad they registered for versus ones they regret. The survey also asked respondents about their most unusual wedding gifts, their attitudes on various etiquette topics including registering for money, and their advice to other couples registering today.

Common registry items people didn’t register for but now wish they had included a robotic vacuum cleaner, an air fryer and lawn equipment. Here’s a ranked list of what people wish they had registered for, as well as the percentage of people who did register for the item and are still glad about it.

“Erie Insurance protects people’s homes as well as their belongings, so it’s interesting to see the types of items that couples register for,” said Bob Buckel, vice president and homeowners product manager, Erie Insurance. “It’s also important to understand that most homeowners insurance limits the coverage that applies to valuable items such as jewelry, china, silverware and artwork, among others. We recommend talking to an agent about how best to make sure you’re properly covered.”

Many respondents did receive and insure such items, including fine china (14%), fine silver (11%), fine crystal (10%) and valuable artwork (6%).

When asked to name their favorite gift that they registered for and received, one person said an elephant ride; another said a trip to Paris; and another said his and hers matching bathrobes.  Regarding items people most regretted registering for, write-in answers included a back scratcher, dog seat covers, and “too many casserole dishes.”

Some of the more unusual gifts couples received were regifts. One person said they received a restaurant gift card for an odd amount, as if part of it had been used. Another received a registry book that had already been written in.

Respondents also weighed in on etiquette topics, including registering for money. While two-thirds of people (66%) think registering for money is fine, the other third (34%) think it’s tacky/in poor taste. Registering for money is least socially acceptable in the Northeast, where 41% of respondents think it’s in poor taste, while it’s most accepted in the South, where fewer than a third (30%) think it’s tacky.

Almost half of those surveyed (46%) said they registered for money. Of those, nearly half (45%) said it was for general use, while 31% said it was for a honeymoon. Ten percent said it was for a down payment on a house, and the same percentage said the money was for a home improvement project.

People were of two minds when it came to offering advice to couples registering today. Several said they’d advise couples to register for expensive items they’d never buy for themselves (one said to register for “something special that will make you cry when you see it”) while others encouraged registering only for practical items they would use often, with one saying “get the needs out of the way before the wants.”

Methodology

This survey was conducted online by Falls Communications on behalf of Erie Insurance from June 26 through July 1, 2019 among 500 U.S. residents ages 28-40. It was designed to capture and compare the opinions of U.S. residents who had registered for wedding gifts within the past six years (between 2013-2018). Falls Communications established the sampling quotas, designed the questionnaire, tabulated the survey responses, and managed the overall project. Falls used Dynata (Plano, TX) to administer the survey via the internet, including mobile devices, to Dynata’s captive U.S. panels who met the age and regional demographic criteria.

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN PA: WHAT TO KNOW

In our world of today, changes ranging from technological advancement to new human policies have become the order of the day. Things, acts and events that weren’t in existence has been introduced, generally accepted and practiced all over the world. One such act is the same-sex marriage act and New Jersey is not left out in the approval of such act and adding it to her constitution. Though this law is accepted and written in the country’s constitution the states in new jersey is yet to accept and practice the act of same-sex marriage.

Same-sex marriage has been legally recognized in the U.S. state of New Jersey since October 21, 2013, the effective date of a trial court ruling invalidating the state’s restriction of marriage to persons of different sexes.

In September 2013, Mary C. Jacobson, Assignment Judge of the Mercer Vicinage of the Superior Court, ruled that as a Same-sex marriage has been legally recognized in the U.S. state of New Jersey since October 21, 2013, the effective date of a trial court ruling invalidating the state’s restriction of marriage to persons of different sexes.

In September 2013, Mary C. Jacobson, Assignment Judge of the Mercer Vicinage of the Superior Court, ruled that as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court’s June 2013 decision in the United States v. Windsor, New Jersey’s Constitution requires the state to recognize same-sex marriages. The Windsor decision held that the Federal Government was required to provide the same benefits to same-sex couples who were married under state law as to other married couples. Therefore, the state court reasoned in Garden State Equality v. Dow, because same-sex couples in New Jersey were limited to civil unions, which are not recognized as marriages under federal law, the state must permit civil marriage for same-sex couples. This ruling, in turn, relied on the 2006 decision of the New Jersey Supreme Court in Lewis v. Harris that the state was constitutionally required to afford the rights and benefits of marriage to same-sex couples. The Supreme Court had ordered the State Legislature to correct the constitutional violation, by permitting either same-sex marriage or civil unions with all the rights and benefits of marriage, within 180 days. In response, the Legislature passed a bill to legalize civil unions on December 21, 2006, which became effective on February 19, 2007.

In 2012, the New Jersey Legislature passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage, but it was vetoed by Governor Chris Christie.

Following the trial court decision in Garden State Equality v. Dow, the Christie administration asked the state Supreme Court to grant a stay of the decision pending appeal. On October 18, 2013, the Supreme Court unanimously denied the request for a stay. Three days later, on the day the trial court ruling went into effect and local officials had begun issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, and some wedding ceremonies had been performed, the Governor withdrew the state’s appeal. This action removed the last potential impediment to same-sex marriages in the state. The result of the U.S.

In 2001, Shore 2 Sea Travel (https://www.shore2seatravel.com/) was founded to provide personalized service to those looking for specific travel needs. Since then, they’ve gained the knowledge and experience necessary to find their clients the best deals based on their specific preferences. “We’re committed to making travel as easy for you as possible,” So we asked Janessa Davis, travel agent and group specialist for some advice on working with a travel agent and picking out the perfect romantic destination.

What’s your advice for narrowing down a honeymoon destination?

For many a honeymoon is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take the trip of their dreams, so couples should really take some time and discuss the destinations they would absolutely love to experience together.  But it’s also important for a couple to be realistic and keep their budget in mind, especially after the expense of a wedding. This may limit their options a bit, but a great travel agent will be able to give suggestions of destinations that will still make for an amazing experience and hit on what the couple really wants to experience on their honeymoon.

Why work with a travel agent?

There are many reasons to work with a travel agent, such as their expertise, their research skills, the connections they have with different wholesalers and other travel companies, etc. but I think the biggest selling point on why a couple should use a travel agent while planning their honeymoon is to reduce stress!  Planning a wedding is a stressful time for all involved, but planning a honeymoon doesn’t have to be. With the help of a travel agent, it really can be a fun, enjoyable experience with a great reward at the end of it. . . their absolute dream honeymoon that was achieved stress-free!

Some people think a travel agent adds on an additional cost and they can’t afford it, what would you say about that?

Some agencies charge for their services, but from my experience and talking with other smaller, home based agents, this is NOT the case.  Travel wholesalers (ie. Expedia, Apple Vacations, etc.), resort and hotel chains, excursion companies, etc. that travel agents work with already have a small percentage built into their pricing that is paid to the travel agent upon booking.  This is NOT added to the overall cost of the trip, it is already included. So if someone books a vacation on their own, they still pay this built-in percentage, it is just not paid out to a booking travel agency since one was not used. So I say, “why not take advantage of a travel agent’s expertise and time at NO additional cost to you!?!”

Also, a lot of agencies have connections with booking companies that offer special discounted room rates, free upgrade opportunities, additional amenities and much more. So in addition to receiving an agency’s help at no additional cost, there are many other benefits of working with a travel agent!

Tell me about the ways you plan a honeymoon differently than you would a typical vacation?

I think it’s really important to get to know the couple and figure out exactly what they are looking to experience on their honeymoon!  And of course keeping in mind that after all the stress, emotional toll of a great wedding, a honeymoon should be a relaxing and just plain enjoyable time for the new married couple.  So focusing on providing this type of experience is key when planning a honeymoon!

What are some of your favorite locations to suggest?

For those who are just looking to disconnect, relax and not worry about too much. . . an adult-only, all-inclusive resort (http://www.sandals.com/index.cfm?referral=134842) is a great way to go.  There are so many great options in the Caribbean (https://www.islandroutes.com/) and Mexico that would make for an amazing honeymoon!  Of course, there are couples who want to explore, take in the local culture and be active.  For those, some awesome destinations would be Croatia, Iceland, Italy, Australia and Hawaii (https://www.shore2seatravel.com/).  But the options are endless and a trusted travel agent can truly help identify the ideal destination for a couple’s dream honeymoon.

When selecting a travel agent, what are some things to look for?

Look for someone who is attentive and available, whether it be via email, phone or in person.  Also someone who really wants to get to know you as a client and wants to make things as enjoyable and seamless as possible during the planning and booking process!  Again, planning a honeymoon should not be a stressful experience, so find a travel agent who is dedicated to making the experience enjoyable with the couples’ absolute dream end result in mind!
