DROOL:

Pretty in Sugar

Solf and elegant — that was the vibe Pretty in Sugar, of Newtown, was going for when they created this cake for a wedding with a lavender and gold theme.  With handcrafted wafer paper flowers and sugar pearls centers resembling the bride’s wedding dress flowers, the four tier fondant covered cake was finished off with gorgeous gold leaf accents. Almost too pretty to eat…almost.

WEAR:

Everence, the innovative company who made tattoos even more personal by integrating DNA into tattoo ink, is applying its revolutionary DNA technology, developed by Duke and Brown University, to custom jewelry, including wedding bands. Everence provides consumers with a brand new line of DNA-infused jewelry, allowing consumers to carry what is truly most meaningful to them in custom, handcrafted bracelets and rings.

From a collected DNA sample to something as simple as a strand of hair or cremains, Everence’s high-tech, innovative lab extracts and imbeds a short strand of DNA into crystal particles so that it can be seen with the naked eye. After it is molded into a ring (or bracelet), consumers are able to customize the ring or bracelet, from color options down to clasp style, making it one of a kind.

SAY AWWW:

How cute are these doggos! It’s hard to believe they’re edible. The creations, by Jordan Harvey, owner and chief cake designer at Velvet Sky Bakery in Jenkintown brought this pug and corgi to cakey life. We think these would make the perfect bride and groom cakes for dog parents blending their pet families.
